Lake Central Rail Tours in cooperation with the Michigan State Trust for Railway Preservation, Inc. will be operating the 1225 Steam Excursion on June 22, 2002. The excursion will operate from Owosso to Mt. Pleasant, MI, with a side trip to Clare, over the rails of the Tuscola & Saginaw Bay Railway. Ticket prices are as follows: Coach seats from Owosso to Mt. Pleasant; $90.00 (which includes a box-lunch in Mt. Pleasant). First Class seats from Owosso to Mt. Pleasant; $150.00 (which includes dining car service with a complete meal in Mountaintown Station in Mt. Pleasant). All seats from Mt. Pleasant to Clare and return are $25.00. Ray, welcome to Trainboard and thanks for the news! 1225 has a special place in my heart as I did the EFAH thing a couple of years ago. What a thrill. AND.....What a steam season this is shaping up to be. Martin Hansen will be running his McCloud photographers steam special in Feb., 4449 is going to run from Portland to Sacramento in Mar., 1225 in June, and 3751 to the Grand Canyon in Aug.
