The full set is ready now. All the coaches and diesel locomotive are 3D printed. Maybe one day I will add some less usual liveries (not in regular service) to add diversity. I hope my friend one day will design baggage car and post car.
Old ST44 diesel locomotives got additional markings: white squares on the right hand side. They indicate association with territorial unit of PKP Railway Company:
I started some Marklin car modifications and PKP repainting job for my military train. Container car is going to be my Rs type platform. Wooden floor was added as well as small end walls that are used as a bridges over buffers when the wihicles are mowing from one car to another. PKP markings are made as a one piece to cover the whole side of the platform car.
Some time ago I found such photos of real car used for technical purposes: I found Shapeways 3D model and adopted it:
Some months ago I bought 2 cars of Italian origin. They are brass models using standard Marklin chassis. They were build in Italy and I got them painted but not lettered. It was time to finish them:
@rray - thank you. Next project are ex-Prussian cars repainted into Polish Railways. They were still in use in late 60ties and early 70ties. Markings are self-designed decals representing this period of time (there are unified "long" car numbers for European railways). The roof of one car was modified. Car numbers represent actual cars (based on old photos). They are slightly weathered.
Some M113 and Humvee were made some time ago. Finally I made two PKP flat cars as a part of military train... There will be more in the future.
No I did not. I design my decals using open source software "Inkscape" and send this design to be printed to a specialized small company. They are specialized in making decals for model cars - especially complicated designs of sport cars. There is one problem. It is the most cost effective to send the A4 sheet of designs. It takes months to have such a quantity for Z scale. I am happy to add and multiply decals for some other modellers. The problem is that Polish Z-scale community is extremaly small. Sometimes I am asked by N-scale people to enlarge my designs. This speeds up a little bit ...
