    Very nice. Too bad I have no use for any SP steam. I would purchase one anyway if not for the grand price of almost $300! :eek:

    By the pictures posted it certainly looks like a great model but at $600 AUS its way out of my price range as well.

    I have heard good things about other Con-cor locos but am not familiar with the powertrain. What kind of motor do they use? Does it have flywheels? If yes, I might be tempted to get at least one undecorated.

    It is an open frame five pole skewed armiture. It is electrically isolated from the frame. It is also substantully slower than the original Kato mech. I've got one and have been quite happy with it so far(they still pull like crazy). The tender comes ready to drop in a decoder so no problem there.

    These look like they are going to be NICE! The Northerns they released a few months back run extremely well so I'm hoping these will follow with good solid running capabilities.
