Here's a couple of pictures to show the progress being made on the rebuild of my layout.

This is the "removable" [IMG] duckunder, which is sceniced as a crossing over the Illinois River.

This one shows a closer view of the bridge...two Kato truss bridges, Woodland Scenics provided the center upright and end supports.

Here's a couple of Preiser guys fishing in a NuComp boat with a scratch built motor. Wonder if the trains crossing the bridge affect the fishing?

Stay tuned. Hopefully this weekend will permit these pictures to be included with others on my web page, which needs updating.

    Jeff-

    Looks good!

Am always interested in how others do their water. Can you tell me about yours?

Looks real good! Hope to see much more of the layout. Those "duckunders" get old quick. Just remember to keep your head down.

How's that little MRC Cab Controller I sold you doing? Hope it is still doing the job.

Looking good Jeff. The fishermen ar a nice touch! :D
Might I suggest getting some 1" foam rubber, and denim or naugahyde and upolster the bottom of the duckunder similar to an armchair before you get too involved with construction. While under construction, you will find you are making lots of trips under, and more so than hitting your head, you will find yourself scraping your back. It will prove to be a real lifesaver. Robert,
That's a great suggestion. I already have my head protected...our basement has a couple of rather low clearences, lower than my height, including one where the heat duct drops to as low as about 5 foot.

I found an old UP hard hat on ebay for $10. I cleaned it up, removed the Borg logo and glued my freelanced company's logo on instead. Now, I have an offical (one of a kind) Augsburg & Concord RR hard hat.

But, the idea of covering the duckunder (crawl under) is a good one, I've already bumped my back on it.

    It´s look really good Jeff.
I had the intention to suggest a hard hat, but you got ahead of me.
It would be fun to see a picture of that hard hat with the Augsburg logo on it.
Most fun if you were in it too :D
