I was reading an article if the Nov, 2002 MR about detailing N scale locos by Bernie Kempinski and he uses .010" phosphore-bronze wire for his handrails. He said it was sturdier than brass. Does anyone know where to get this stuff, or should I just stick with brass wire? I'm detailing a set of WP FTs and want to add a few more grabs on the nose (ie. the long one above the windshield and on the sides of the nose).

    Thanks!

    John-

Detail Associates used to sell packages. Perhaps they still do. I have a partial one on my work bench. The number is faded badly. Believe it says #2503.

Another source is chasing down supplies for doing catenary in N scale. Link to "NCAT" off the NTRAK web site. There should be a place or two listed for supplies of PB wire.

Creative Model Associates. Available through anyone using Walthers as a wholesaler, IIRC.

I'm going to Chuck's to order some parts this weekend. I took a few pics of the stock FTs for some comparison shots. Hopefull, I'll have something show soon!
