I am trying to model the Union Pacific in about 1985 and I need some information on the UPFE reefers. Can anyone here tell me the color of the ends and roof of the orange Pacific Fruit Express reefers at the time that the SP and UP broke up their relationship and started identifing them as either SPFE or UPFE? I have pictures of the orange UPFE reefers, but I can not see the roof or ends. Was the end black or orange? Was the roof silver or white? A picture that shows either or both would be great, but just knowing the correct color would be fine. Thanks for your help.
Thanks, Scott. That's what I thought, but I wanted to be sure. Looks like I will have some painting to do.... I bought some of these reefers recently, and most of them have orange ends.
