i recently bought a peco turnout because my hobby shop dident have the one i needed in atlas. i've thought about switching the rest of my layout to all peco track as in the craftmanship of the switch over atlas, looks far superior. The atlas switches when placeing a straight edge along the track on the opposite of the switch direction they are always bowed inward and i can notice when in run my trains over them as well. common prob or what? beacuse ive got about 20 and they are all the same...just woundering about everyones thoughts and the possiable ups and downs of switching to peco track. obviously peco track is proably harder to come by in the small common hobby shop and i havent searched real had into the price but seems peco does run a bit more..

I really like the Peco turnouts - they work well and you don't need a separate groundthrow. But, they are more expensive than the Atlas and I like to use my Atlas turnouts in remote areas with Atlas under table switch machines.

Most of my turnouts in the yard are Atlas because the enclosed curve track that comes with each turnout make it a snap to lay parallel yard tracks. However, the Pecos are power routing so they make it easy to have a spur that can be electrically off without putting in a separate electrical switch.
