Should I use the Peco electrofrog or insulfrog crossing. I am using a Peco #8 electrofrog turnout and need to cross a parallel track. This is analog operation. Also is the 8 degree crossing the one I need to do this when using the #8 turnout. Also what is the difference between the two crossings [electro frog vs. insulfrog]? Will the insulfrog involve less wiring?
The insulfrog will require less wiring. The electrofrog verion will need some wiring and a switch to alter the polarity of the frogs. As for the right number, I can't help you there but check their website, that should tell you. Most of their trackage will fit to each other pretty well. Regards, Dave
