ooooooo! You're right! When Paul achieved some level there at Atlas (years of service, position, or something) he got to pick the loco he wanted--- the Trainmaster. So I think Paul should get to choose another loco in honor of this promotion. (as long as CSX had them).
Congrats, Paul! Huge fan of Atlas products. Really love the wide selections of GPs and SDs! Congrats! Cheers!
I missed this yesterday, so join congratulating Paul Graf on his promotion to CEO of Atlas Model RR Co. I know him only via e-mail personal messages off another forum. I am very impressed with his personal interest in customer service. He had one of the Atlas people contact me personally about a problem I was experiencing with getting the Atlas n-scale True-Track turnouts to operate. I call that " a customer first attitude." Over the years way back from the Atlas forum, he seemed very focused on helping n-scale grow.
I'm thinking your plate is going to get a bit full but in a good way, so no worries if your time on-line is limited. If I don't see you in Springfield MA, I'm sure I'll see you somewhere.
Paul Graf - CEO Atlas First, like I have said elsewhere, congratulations!!!! You truly deserve it, and maybe and it is likely, that you will work out to be one of the more effective CEO's in this country. You have maintained a close connection with your customers and seem to be a good model railroader, and keep in touch with what you are doing. I met you in 2002 and was very impressed with your presence, as a hands-on manager, love your company and product, and yet responsive to a rather difficult customer base as we can be. I also know that you have maintained a close touch since 2002 via the Atlas Forum, the grand daddy of all forums, and had the vision to see the "Steamguy" was so blown out of proportion. I thank you now for the steps you took in returning my ego to human proportions. I have a ton of Atlas products and will continue to buy my stuff from you, but now with more confidence that the "store is minded by the good guys". (and not just "suits") Good luck in the future and may you bring your company to new heights. Ken "FloridaBoy" Willaman
Paul, now you will need a sign in your office...."Where Are They Going, I must Follow Them, I am their Leader". Hope you Enjoy your time in the Briar Patch. <gr>
