Well, we know the previous post by Joe from micro-trains that the Gp 35 will be CP, as for the rest, I wonder as well.
I already sent in my order to FRTS for the CP engine. In fact, I might even get 2, and make one into a GP-30. What I noticed is the prototype CP units have only 1 fan in the back, and some other differences that will be a challenge to do. Also, I wonder what paint will be a good match so I don't have to repaint the whole thing? -Robert
Robert, I like the idea of the CP GP30 conversion, and as the prototype only had a pair of them, it won't be hard to model the entire fleet! CP kept the GP30's into the action red era, and if my memory is right, they served out of the Calgary area and west. Would look great leading up a grain lashup across the prarie... Somewhere here I've got to unearth my CP paint schemes books and better focus the daydreaming. Chris
...and growing older waiting for another D&H to show up to add to my collection. Heck, just one would double the size of my collection in Z Scale.
I checked the MTL web site and found two D&H cars have been released. The first was a box car in 1988. The other was the gondola released this year. The info is below: 13503 Delaware & Hudson D&H 22169 Apr-88 $13.50 $12.00 bcr w/white lettering 522 00 090 Delaware & Hudson D&H 13792 Feb-05 $14.10 $12.30 black w/ white lettering American Z Line also has a D&H Alco PA1 that is incredible.
