Friends of Northern Pacific, hello. I seek websites which speak about passenger trains composition. On my layout, Northern Pacific between 1960 and 1970, I wish to make circulate this type of car : Walthers Streamlined Pullman-Standard Plan #7484 64-Seat Coach But when is it really? composition, motive power, etc… Thank you in advance for all the infos which you will be able to bring to me. PS : I already consulted: http://www.nprha.org/ http://www.nprymuseum.org/ http://home.netcom.com/~whstlpnk/np.html
There are a few photos here: http://www.rr-fallenflags.org/np/np.html Other info can be had at a few Yahoogroups: http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/NPTellTale/ http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/NPRailway/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/NPModelers/ A good one telling about the specific cars here: http://www.trainweb.org/web_lurker/NP/
So are we talking a summer train? A winter train? A local train? 1st or 2nd class train? A jointly operated train? These kind of trains rate how many locomotives, kinds of head end cars, how many coaches, sleepers (if any),diners and domes. A jointly operated train can have cars from both railroads i.e SP&S trains from Portland to Spokane had NP and GN cars some sublettered SP&S or though cars from connecting railroads (sleepers)
