    Hi All

Bought my first diesel today, a Proto 2000 GP-7. Got it cheap in Aus @ 89.00. I was just over at the Atlas forum and read that these locos don't perform well under DCC - not a good thing to read given that I just bought one. Can anyone confirm this or is it a thing of the past? Please say it is not so! I was looking at putting a Digitrax DH163L0 decoder in it (that or a P2KSR from NCE).

    Cheers

I have several of the P2K GP-7 units. I think they run great on DCC. I used the NCE boards specific to these units. They do need to have the starting voltage set higher than most of my other units but that only involves changing one CV value.
