Which roads had engines painted with the Opperation Lifesaver logos?
Were there multiple units or just one per road?

Two roads come to mind- C&NW and Norfolk Southern.

Amtrak had an OLS F40 (with nose decals)

CNW had quite a few units with OLS logo's as far as I can tell.

CSX Had a couple also, but that was back in the late 80's, I'm pretty sure there are no CSX units with OS on them now.

The Wisconsin Central also had one; I believe it was put into service about a year before the CN aquired the WC.

Actually, WC had two - the first one (the number escapes me) had the "early" OLS logo and F45-style striping, and the second unit is 7525, which has the "new" OLS logo on the hood.

I don't know if there were any on CSX.... from what I remember, CSX had their "Operation Redblock" scheme on various locos, (GP38's & GP40's), but can't remember any OLS units...
