I have posted this in the Canadian Pacific Railroad section of the forum and in the N scale area, but I thought I would also give you Ho Ho'rs a chance to see a great train. What it is, is the Canadian Pacific Railroad Christmas train. I know Canadian Pacific isn't your thing, but you'll love this train. And all of you contemporary modeler's out there, it will be love at first sight. Go to www.cpr.ca and tab onto the HOLIDAY TRAIN 2000 and wait for about two minutes for it to do its thing. When it is done you will be given a choice of french or English, chose the language and you will be taken to the next page which will take you to some great pictures. And for someone looking for an idea of a holiday train on their layout; this is the one to copy. Merry Christmas from Rick and Dane Nicholson Home of BC Rail....
I couldn't find a link on that page so I searched for it on youtube: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=awXRMPFUewE"]YouTube - CPR Holiday Train[/ame] There are many more clips of it. cool stuff, thanks for the shout.
I saw this train last year about 20 minutes drive from my house. Stood outside in minus 20 degree weather for about 1 1/2 hours and drank some hot chocolate with my better half. Great memories of a holiday train evening. If you get a chance to see it, I recommend it.
