Once Twice Three times is the charm ! More often then not, or should I say more often then I’d like to admit, some times it takes a few tries to get a seen right. This is just one case. First a bit of background information. I have been modeling a local defunct short line. Trying to be historically accurate where possible. I have this one bridge, bridge No. 2 just out side of a small town of Laona NY. I have vague photos of this bridge, but my longing to build a wooden tall bent trestle just won out. This was one of the few deviations that I was wiling do. It was with reason that I was modeling the original bridge that was most likely a wooden one any way. So the first image shows my wooden trestle. Note in the photo it was not yet complete. Then after some time passed I wanted a to build a bridge closer to the original. Some along came bridge in image No. 2. This bridge was ok but not really the cats me-ow. Ok so it really wasn’t a good bridge at all. So along came the bridge seen in the last 3 images. This bridge is nearly an exact copy of the original bridge found on the DAV&P. it only took 3 attempts to get it right and I haven’t even started the scenery yet. Thank goodness I have had better luck on the rest of the layout. Never the less the last bridge will be the finale bridge, I like the looks and the feel of it, it looks so much like the real one and fits my memories, so it feels right.
