Recent posting of the fine modeling photos by Paul Templar has me wondering- Is there by any chance a magazine specific to modeling in On30? Or is it only available intermingled in generic publications? Boxcab E50
A quick Google search did not turn up any makazine dedicated to On30. You might find some dedicated to narrow gauge, however.
Narrow gauge and shortline gazette has some articles on 0n30 Pierce, but apart from that I cannot say. cheers Paul
Narrow gauge & Shortline gazette is probly your best bet for finding anything 0n30. Possibly Railroad Model Craftsman too. Don't bother looking to Model Railroader for anything 0n30 they can't get past calling it 0n2 1/2. If you really want to see some fine 0n30 modeling I suggest that you join The 0n30 Conspiracy on Yahoo.
Take a look at "Light Iron Digest." The latest issue, Volume 5, #5 is all about On30. Their web page is: http://www.lightirondigest.com They often have articles about On30 and other narrow gauge scales. Slick little magazine. Greg
Looks interesting. So much neat stuff. So little extra money..... Next question being- What about available sources of locos, rolling stock, and track, etc. Paul answered my first track question. And am familiar with Boulder Valley Models. (I knew Dallas from his N scale days.) Boxcab E50 [ 05. November 2003, 16:59: Message edited by: BoxcabE50 ]
Paul- I have found the Peco web site for On30 track. It appears that there is just the one size of small radiius switch available? Or do you have any on the layout from another manufacturer? Boxcab E50
Hi Boxcab, All the points (0-16.5) are medium range only by Peco. Thats all I used for my 0n30. I think they look okay once they are ballasted and painted. Cheers friend Paul
