I can't afford brass :( It looks really nice though [IMG]

I'll have to settle for one of the Kato SD70MAC's

The only brass I've ever owned in this hobby was some Atlas brass track. Motive power in brass is out of the question for me too, but my oh my, it do look nice!

And if it runs as sweet as it looks, it's money well spent!

Wonder if we can persuade I-M to make SD70Ms that look this good.......... [IMG]

Does N scale power run any better than it's HO scale cousins? My expierience with brass locos has been that they are always poor runners. Even the $1200 Overland SD90MACs were lacking flywheels and wsmooth gears. Just wondering if it might be better in N.

I can't speak for brass diesels but most brass steamers are now on the same operating level as the Kato Mike.

After running this SD70M and my SD75M and 70MAC, I find no problems with them. I do have problems with my SD90MAC

I have an Overland AC4400 painted for CP Rail. It runs nice and smooth. Just about what an Atlas does. But it can't compete with Kato's SD40-2, SD90, C44.
