Is there a web site that chronicles dispositions for units of earlier C&NW mergers? I would like to know what M&St.L, and CGW diesels are still out there. I believe that there is an M&St.L RS1 in a museum. (St.Louis?) And I do know of the several GP's on Montana Rail Link. Wasn't there an SD7 left somewhere? DM&E or a grain elevator? And a Geep or two somewhere in California on a short line? Also, think I recently heard or saw mention of a CGW SW still alive? And there should still be at least one Geep on MRL. Sure wish some of these could be saved from the eventual scrapping torch! Boxcab E50
You would first check the CGW roster get the C&NW ## and then check the C&NW roster and see if they were retired by C&NW, Then you could check a UP roster and see if the units still exist. I'm pretty sure all 9 of CGWs SD40s are still out there but I need to check and see if they're still in service,
