Old Kato E8/9& Mico Trains 2000-1

    Trying to put Mico Trains 2000-1 couplers on Old Kato E 8.
    How do you get the rear truck off to put new coupler on?

    Got the truck off, front coupler on, rear in the works. Boy this isn't a job for old people!

    I never converted my set. Bought the MT couplers and then everything has been in the boxes ever since. :(

    Well got it back together, but used to thin of glue and ran into the coupler box. Coupler still works.

    Might need to add a tiny bit of a Teflon powder lube?

    The original couplers were Kato with a long shank. Could stand not it not working right so I took it all back apart.
    Cleaned all the glue and replaced the coupler and put a small dab of thicker glue.
    Working good now.
