Here's an "old" CSX unit, from my archives:
Wow...a 100% GP30, non-slugged. Was 4245 converted into a slug? Nice shot. I saw an LTEX GP9 (18?) roll by a few days ago on a coal run.
I don't know what became of this unit... I used to be real detailed and try and track the progress of the units, but gave up years ago
And you know what? That grey and blue paint scheme looks pretty good on ol' 4245
A quick Google search revealed that this unit is now Eastern Alabama Railway (EARY) 2182. EARY is a RailAmerica shortline.
Thanks for the info and welcome to TrainBoard! I had not even thought of looking on Google to try and see where the units went.
Thats a rare of rare! HA! A non sluged, but full GP-30! I loved that body style!
