A while back I acquired a Con-Cor Kato Hudson in Rio Grande. I ran it once and packed it away in a box that was log forgotten about until about 2 months ago when the N-scale bug hit me again. So I decided to slowly start planning the insulation of LOK sound and the repaint. Then of corse Bachmann announces theirs. Will be getting 2.

What are the differences between a J1e and a J3a?

P&LE never had Hudsons, although NYC's did run on their tracks.

I believe it’s just the years built. And the tender. I’m not positive. This might be a J3a I forget which version Con-Cor did.

I rebuilt a junker that I acquired and gave it the Santa Fe treatment.
