According to the 'log' (pretty accurate) This is the 1000th Car I've built (bashed) and sold. Of course it's over a long time frame (roughly 2005 -Now). It's getting more difficult and taking longer because of age, eyesight and tremors, BUT, it's still fun. Seems there is somewhat MORE frustration than I remember, but that's pqart of the age deal. Going to continue to build as long as humanly possible........
WOW! That is beautiful. Ironically I will *start* building my first kits this weekend but they will be simple kits and my step-daughter will participate. Edit: And I won't include detail not seen in normal viewing. ☺☻
Age be darned, your work has gotten better and better! Attempting those striped side handrails would drive me up the wall.
@marty coil Um, any thoughts / suggestions for kits for a novice? I do have a couple of Tichy flat cars and several 'Accurail' boxcar and gondola kits. I picked up, tweezers and Plastic Weld. Is there a visor or magnifier you use?
GreyOne: Personally, I used to use a Magnavisor, but there are so many that are nicer and cheaper. Just do a search for Illuminated Headband Magnifier and get started! Take a Tichy and spray a light coat of brown paint. Cover with some clear flat (or gloss, your choice). Install some decals (use Micro Set and/or Micro Sol to get them to lay down). Another coat of flat...done!
