    Oops!! :eek::eek::eek: Track beneath her does not seem damaged. Maybe at very low speed? Will be interested to hear any guess as to cause.

    Thank you for the news update Dave. Can't bring myself to click [Like]. I didn't know much about the incident before I saw your post. I'm with Ken, hoping that she can be righted without too much damage and be able to retain her SOU paint.

    Agree, I hope she's only cosmetically damaged, and be back to her lovely self in short order. :)

    Just read that the derailment was caused by a rock slide. NS spokesman Connor Spielmaker said he didn't know yet whether the railroad would paint another locomotive in SOU colors or if the 8099 would be put back in service. Obviously, too early to tell.
