So what's a guy who calls himself "GN-Z-phile" (emphasis on the "GN", part), doing posting in an NP forum, you may ask? I am guessing you folks won't mind if I point you to a photo of an NP loco being watered, ca. 1951. To explain: my late father, who died last Saturday, was a photographer for the Seattle Times. The Times ran an obituary, and accompanied it with an online album of photographs of all varieties (earthquake damage to the state capitol dome being repaired, the U.S. Navy's "Blue Angels" flying around the top of the Space Needle during the 1962 World's Fair, etc.). But one shot they included was of the aforementioned loco being watered. (Being at Woodinville, WA, I am assuming it's NP).
