I saw This on www.carrtracks.com When I saw something familiar. Gulf, Mobile and Ohio 733 leads a Northbound Train Through Senatobia, Miss on 10/20/1978. I compared it iwth my photo Can anyone tell the difference
Not actually The Grand Trunk Locomotive was ex-DT&I 1776 The GM&O was more ICG/IC locomotive before it went somewhere else. I don't know where it went to. The crossing signal was replaced by the present day one that you see. But thanks for asking
The photos look the same. Same buildings in th background and sam loco. Did this person ask permission to use the photo???
I never would have guessed that was the same location. Nothing gave it away. I just noticed both lead eagines were non dynamic and had the air filter box on top....fame looks short enough to be a GP like the 733 was. You have sharp eyes for attention to detail!
I was born on May 24, 1984. When I Saw This picture dated from 1978. There was similar comparisons to the one I have posted. The post office was built next to the tracks in 1971. The Fire Department and City Hall was built somewhere in the 80's and the 90's. I knew where the place was at. Because I had a friend of mine's owns a printing place right now as well as a Special Daze clothing/photography shop and some clothes store. BTW here's my detail photo: http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/49236327/?qo=10&q=by:illinoiscentral6070&qh=sort:time+-in:scraps Thanks for the compliments
I actually asked (emailed) his permission to use the photo. I'm waiting on a reply. Thanks For Asking
