I don't own any locos, (yet), but I do have 2 red NS cabooses which I'll display as soon as the Grey and Grandure V has better scenery. I'm sure everyone here would love a thread on Norfolk Southern.
All of my motive power is divided up between UP and BN/BNSF but I do have to admit that I absolutely LOVE the look of an SD40-2 sporting Norfolk Southern colors!!
FSR - true, not colorful, (then again neither are most steam locos ), but sleek and sexy - according to two different women I know. They both said it reminds them of a "little black dress". While your modeling skills are outstanding I have to take a different direction. On my layout the rules are: If it looks good to me - run it. If it looks good to women - run it often.
Sorry Steve, no dark ponies on my layout, but two SD40-2's 1:1 scale, just went by my apartment on the old P&E, does that count?:mcute:
Hey, I've seen that one somewhere before... :tb-tongue: Here's some more I've done. Found out later I messed up the road number...oops. Brian
Only if you get pics. < clears throat > Which I'm sure you will do in the next 2 weeks? yes? Look forward to seeing you in Springfild. Hmm, "Dark Ponies" Are there any other "slang / colloquialisms" for the "iron horse" that Laura, (my GF), likes?
Brian, Whenever you are ready, I have a couple of locomotives that would love your attention! Stay safe over there! Remember what I told you!
You ought to see my J Class Norfolk Western. I'd post a picture of it but my pictures are copyrighted and I'd get myself into a real twist of interpretation. What? What? What did I say? Grin! The J Class is most likely the finest stove that Bachmann has put out to date. Go check it out on any internet hobby shop resource. There are pictures of it everywhere. Pretty she is!
"You ought to see my J Class Norfolk Western. I'd post a picture of it but my pictures are copyrighted and I'd get myself into a real twist of interpretation." What does the N&W J have to do with the dark horses? "Kill the Kitty!?!" I'd say... quit horsen' around!!!
LOL Hmmm! Synonymous doesn't work here...does it? Ok, so I screwed up. OOPS! I still think my dark horse in Norfolk Western dress looks mighty fine.
Love that SD70. Very interested in what you are using to put it all together! I want to do some IC's. Thanks dave t
Rick - feel free to post your "J" here. I don't mind things going off topic. Besides - how many threads have I derailed? - Um, don't answer that. BTW: I'd love to know what brands and quality are out there. In particular I'm interested in those with decoders. How's the Atlas / Trainman GP15? Does Fox Valley make a NS GEVO?
