    hey all,

will be travelling over to the United States in September and will be staying a few days in New York City. Other than usual touristy stuff, i was looking at travelling out on some of the lines for some photography such as Metro North's Hudson line and some of the NJT lines. I just read in Trains Mag that NJT wants railfans to have permits to take photos. Do any of our Northeast railfans know about this?

Funnily enough in the same mag is an article on railfanning at Bound Brook NJ, on the NJT and this is an area I would like to check out but I'm not too interested in being hassled by police.

    Thanks Mike.,

I certainly hope that is the case, I also heard that NY subway had removed their photography ban which if true is nice to hear.
