I am trying to get do manual focus on various parts of a framed picture and then Helicon it. It seems that the framing changes when I manually try to do the same. Is the lens capable of changing area of focus without changing the framed shot? If so, what am I forgetting to do?
Mark: I haven't tried the 60 mm lens with the Helicon software program. AMOF I haven't used the helicon software program since my initial trys which weren't very successful. I'll give it a try with the 60 mm lens in the next few days. Stay cool and run steam.....
When you are focusing in Micro or Macro mode, the framing will change as the reproduction ratio is increased.
You got it, Mark! If the image size varies too much from image to image, the software doesn't know how to adjust. You can get some nice "Stars Wars" graphics sometimes, but that isn't the point. In general, Helicon works very well--but within limits! Now, if they'd only make a Mac version . . .
I will then reread Yourestone's article in a recent magazine and see exactly how he did it. I am sure he used a macro lens.
