Is there anyone out there who has an employee timetable for the NKP? Or can get access to one? I need help identifying two interlocking towers. The handwriting that I am reading, I cannot be certain of the letters assigned to the towers. And I'd also like to know where they were! What I think I'm seeing: "GC Tower." "WY Tower." Boxcab E50
Try here for starters. The NKP Historical & Technical Society covers this road. And I'm not sure, but I think there's an NKP group in Yahoo!Groups (don't hold me to that, though). Hope that helps you to get your answers.
Ken, I waited to see if any of our members who are NKP fans would post an answer for you. I know of a gentleman who can no doubt answer your NKP questions, but I don't want to make public his email address, so please email me and I'll give it to you. Thanks, Bill
Have identified one of these! GC Tower was located nearby Vermilion, Ohio. The other one is still a puzzler. The more I look at it, the more the handwriting confuses. Maybe not WY Tower. Perhaps it's HY Tower. Am glad the train crews knew where they were! Boxcab E50
Bill- Heard back from him within a couple of hours. Seems like a nice fellow. Is checking for info. Thanks! Boxcab E50
Great, because I have no NKP knowledge...... I have seen some GP30's thatbwere probably of NKP heritage..... Harold
Nice to see there's a place for us Nickel Plate Fans here now. I haven't visited Trainboard for a long time. You can visit my website Nickel Plate Home at: http://www.angelfire.com/de2/nickelplate/index.html
Randy- Although NKP isn't really high on my interest list, I do enjoy finding out more of pre-mega merger era companies. I'd be happy to see NKP discussion, and learn more about this RR. Boxcab E50
