Here are some more Johnny Trains subway photos. They are at or near Broadway Junction. John can answer any questions.
An interesting thing about the NY subways is that you can see a large variety of railroad infrastructure. Lots of fun in a relatively small area.
The subways do have the variety but don't forget the Long Island RR. Sitting on the VanWych coming out of Kennedy just before the Jamica area, I watched several commuter outbounds move thorugh the switching. Even got some AirTrain action.
The New York City subway has an amazingly diverse infrastructure indeed! We have everything from tunnels, river tunnels to EL's to open cuts! And, the trains cross several East River bridges too such as the Manhattan, Williamsburg, and Queensboro bridges! That maze of El's at B'way Jct was mindboggling indeed! There is even another line below ground below all of that! Janafam, you should try riding the AirTrain at least once. Even though it really was an expensive project that will never really pay for itself, it is a very cool operation! It's worth the ten bucks just for one joyride anyway. The LIRR Jamaica are incredible too!
I've ridden the New York City subway system extensively myself. It is fascinating for sure and not to be missed when in New York. I always thought it was interesting about 4 AM when people leave the clubs too. Charlie
