Hi All, As promised, I have been busy creating a new Online Store so anyone can purchase my items, get Newsletters and create Wish Lists. Here is the link: http://store.traincat2.com/ As of 8/30, I can accept PayPal but Credit Cards will be online by week's end. All shipping will be by USPS Priority. Let me know what you think and thank you all for your ideas.
looks great bob!!!! very easy to navigate the site Now how about a schnebal car, cebx 800 would be nice:thumbs_up::thumbs_up:
Great job. Just makes it easier to order, but harder to decide what I want. FYI, the "Purchase Now" buttons on the original site sent me off to a different address that didn't open.
Bob, great website. And great models, too. I have 3 kits that need to be built, and will probably have some follow-on purchases. The NYC and PRR cabin cars are almost a must. What trucks did you use for the painted model of the N6b? They seem to have real springs.
I had missed a few pages. I think I got them all. Drop me an email if you find any others. They do. It is a custom HO. It is in the Shrinky-Dink Ray now.
Wow love the Online website I was wanting to know if you received my photos of the signals that I was hoping that your able to match up with some of the beautiful products. Thanks, Anthony G.
Bob, Congratulations! I love the signal kits and I'm planning to order several signal bridges. Those who haven't ordered Bob's kits should know that they're very nicely explained with great diagrams and valuable tips -- and beautifully crafted. --Bryan
Bob, Are you the sane Train cat that has train inventory software? I have an ole version and want to upgrade. Milt
Hi Milt, I discontinued the TrainCat Software back in 2006. If you email me, I can send you a link to the last install I have.
Bob, You can check the web site of Tom Daspit, for more information on ALL schnabel cars. See here: http://southern.railfan.net/schnabel/schnabel_cars.html Hope this is of some help.
As I've said elsewhere.... Great job, Bob! And want take the occasion to underline to the several SP fans here that Bob have a plan to make an :thumbs_up::thumbs_up:: SP S-40-8 Stock Car The most prevalent stock car found on the Southern Pacific, the S-40-8 was an improved design of the original 36ft 1912 S-40-4 Stock car. Built between 1915 and 1927 the modified cars became class S-40-8 (along with S-40-9 and S-40-10) I'm waiting impatiently! cheers
Hey all, Just to give you a heads up, I will be closing our eBay store at the end of September since our new store has better pricing and more payment options. http://store.traincat2.com Thanks to all here that have supported the eBay store.
@traincat2 ... great start, but in N-scale some prices appear contradictory, 4paks, 12paks, 8paks at same or illogical prices ...
Not really illogical. All depends on yields (# of units per sheet and #of rejects units to salable units). Not everything has a dedicated sheet for the item so you have to figure the costs for what surface area you use, the number of units that fit in to the surface area you have and how often they get run. The biggest component is the yield the design has going through the etcher. Some designs have so poor yield (72 LPI chain is the worst) that you must figure the costs of the rejects into the price for those that pass. Not all of my products are priced at what they should be based on surface area either. I have many products that would theoretically should cost far more than what the market could bear. These items have to be priced less at the point I know I can sell them and still make money. Example of it is Item(A) which per sheet yield should be $51.50 but must sell for $35.00 because no one would pay $51.50. Taking all of your manufacturing costs in to account is the only way to stay in business.
Hey all, Just a quick note to all TB viewers. I have closed my eBay store since everyone can now purchase anything from our new online store for less and still have more payment options. Thanks to all the members for looking at the new store.
