I understand that John from Aztec is creating a new track cleaning car, like his new HO model. The HO model has a tank for liquid to dip onto a canvas roller. Thus keeping the roller wet. I already have three of his cars. So I guess I'll add one of these when they are released. I like the idea of this liquid tank thingy.

That does sound like a good idea. I know Goo Gone will be the liquid but what about rubbing alchohal? The guys at the East Vally Lines club down here in LA run a train that has two centerline track cleaning cars, one with good gon and the one following with rubbing alchohal. They said that the alchohal "cleans off the goo gone." HHHMMM, maybe I need to put this to the test.

I'm not sure if he makes it in N scale, but I've been thinking of buying one of Tony's[ttx-dcc.com] track cleaning cars, they look pretty good.
Any one have any info on that?

Craig, there has been discussions on the use of Goo Gone. Another choice is Simple Green and 409. Goo Gone tends to leave a residue that gums my turnouts. I use 409 & alcohol.

    Alan,

Goo Gone is great for taking stickers off things as well as many other things. It's a citris based cleaner. There must be something on your side of the 'pond' ( [IMG]) that is the equivalent to Goo Gone.

I agree Harold! The Goo Gone does gum things up although some people seem to like it.

I need to try the rubbing alchohal thing seeing how I have a Centerline track cleaner sitting around (like a ton of other things).
