Thanks Kurt. Seems I am finding and getting some good finds. There are a few unicorns I still would love to have. Have a great day Kurt James Ian McKeveny ZosoRailway •ZR•
So this is what I am doing going from 3½' × 3' (42" × 36") to 4' × 3½' (48" × 42") Breakdown of the Layout Also decided to blacken the outside Rokuhan track roadbeds Haven't decided if I will keep the original ZosoRailway track configuration or a totally new Track configuration (Most likely the later) Have a wonderful day everyone... James Ian ZosoRailway✨
Haven't gotten the baseboard installed just yet. Do have it cut to those dimensions and the foam for the middle which most of that foam is coming from what the track is upon + a couple other foam pieces I already have) This is what I'm going to do ⅛masonite ½foam ⅛masonite at 4'×3½' also not going to use the smooth side of the Masonite as the base, using the gritty side But eventually base will not be seen or if part is seen it'll be in a place with a industry Kinda thinking that I had too much going on in the inner part, plus as I may have some things on the inner portion of the layout and with that it was not feasible as I would have needed an abundant amount of crossings for cars, trucks for industry access and just inner access Those photos is just from yesterday. So I will have to buy maybe 2-3 more switch track But even though will buy those extra switches Probably take maybe a day or two to come to a decision. Also contemplating The layout as seen above could be turned sideways and I could make like a figure 8 With two identical rectangular shaped track and use a rokuhan double crossover (I'd have to get) Got a few ideas So mulling over which will be best for me. Also realizing that most structures I have are for track without roadbed so unsure of what I will do in regards to that too. You all have a Great Day...
Hello everyone Next step imminent at ZosoRailway •ZR• Baseboard installation Hope you all are having an enjoyable summer James Ian
Hello everyone This is what I came up with for baseboard installed ZosoRailway •ZR• Haven't done anything yet Not even screwed down the track But did look to see where some of my Structures may go other than the REA Transfer Warehouse
Hello everyone I found a major problem in my Layout tried to remedy, no remedy. Seems the outside track away from the REA transfer warehouse The switch back to the Main line (above the bumper of the track at the lower right) Derails my 6 wheel Locomotives SD45, SD70, SD70ACe, ES44AC, My smaller Locomotives GP30, (2) GP9's, (3) SW1500 Switchers Navigate it easily always. But I need any and all Locomotives to NEVER have those problems Thankful that I found this out a day after baseboard installation and of the new Layout configuration Instead of weeks or months after, well into my Designing an building details of the Layout. Will figure something out
Hello everyone So begrudgingly this is what I am now testing I now know that 55mm rokuhan turnouts are not usable for the bigger six wheel per truck Locomotives an the only 110mm turnout I had was a LH turnout that stopped working an can only be operated manually. So i used the Siding turnouts as there is never a problem with those on with any Locomotives. Hope your day was well An have an awesome weekend... James Ian ZosoRailway •ZR•
