Model Die Casting / Roundhouse displayed a sample of their new 2-6-0 Mogul steam loco at Trainfest in Milwaukee this weekend. It uses the same boiler and cab as their 2-8-0, but looks quite different with the larger diameter drivers. It also has a new die cast tender that has lower sides, a different style coal space and a water hatch. The new pilot with provisions for an operating front coupler is also installed. I took a picture but have just applied for an account to post it.... will update as soon as it is operational. Charlie
This is a wheel arrangement long overdue. I've noted mention of such a loco on wish lists many times in the past. Let's hope it sells well. Looking forward to your photos. Boxcab E50

That is a good lookin rig Charlie, I do need one of those for the WC & T! Does it come in kit form or ready made, and did you catch the price? Jim
Charlie, Was their any discussion about possible release date on the 2-6-0? It sure would look nice with some B&M open-platform coaches in tow!
Not bad! May need a little bashing though as did the consolidation. Very turn of the century looking! Russ
I didn't inquire as to the price or availability. I would imagine that it will be around the first of the year and about the same price as the 2-8-0. Sorry for the fuzzy image; it was a quick grab shot in a booth full of people. My Nikon can take much better shots given a little time. Charlie
