    Hi all,

Here's what's new in N scale from Imperial Hobby Productions:

    1) A restock of our F59PHI shells. (This one is proving to be quite popular!)
    2) 1946 Kansas City PCC trolley body shells (fits Bachmann mechanism)
    3) 'MetroRetro' retrofit underframe for Bachmann Amtrak Metroliner MU cars (this one is for dummy cars, and Yes, a power retrofit frame version is being developed, too.) This frame gives your Bachmann Metroliners a lower profile, accurate truck spacing, and better underbody detail.

You can see these items on the IHP website, though we haven't put the MetroRetro frame information up yet. The PCC shells and the MetroRetro frames will be in stock by the end of this week or early next week.

Next in N scale for 2002 are:

    1) 1949 Pittsburgh 1700-series PCC trolley shell ( late September)
    2) CTA 6000-series EL car sets (November)

IHP has a plan to bring lots of new products for the N scale commuter and transit modeler. MU cars, push/pull cars, loco shells, and subway/el cars will all be appearing over the next couple of years. The items listed here are just the beginning.

For in-depth discussion about commuter modeling, see our YahooGroup bulletin board. You can access it and join up using a link on the IHP website. The best commuter modeling information and modelers can be found here!

Prices and ordering information can be found on the IHP website. A link is below.

    Thanks,

How about some Amtrak California cars to go with those F59PHI's? [IMG]

Oh great! CTA 6000 shells!!! Now I'm going to have to build some T-TRAK modules with EL structure on them.
Next thing ConCor will do the ElectroLiner in N Scale.....
Just what I needed, more diversions.
Might as well do some North Shore coaches and combines and really ruin my day.
    Thanks a bunch.
(don't know which gremlin has tongue in cheek)

I second this! Now I have a good reason to use the Atlas code 55 sectional track (10"radius)! Wow, who ever thought that the city of Chicago's el could be replicated in N scale!

Hey Mike, does this mean we could possibly see the CTA 2200, 2400, 2600, and 3200 series cars sometime in the future?

I vote for "Baldies" and "Bowling Alleys" to go along with the North Shore and Aurora & Elgin stuff.... let the 6000s be the "modern" cars!!!
    :D

Mike, you have GOT to do those push/pull Bombardier Metrolink style cars!! I'm sure you would tell a TON (especially in southern California).

I picked up one of your F59PHI shells from the Freight Yard and have since added a scratch built plow to it, couplers, and I have added styrene inside so the GP40-2 mechanism I have for it pops right in. I am also working on 5 Kato Superliner cars to make them into semi-correct cars to make a Surfliner train. I am well on my way to getting this one completed, now I'm just waiting on the decals really... :(
