    Hello All,

A wonderful opportunity has become available for N-Scale model railroaders who live in or around the Lancaster County, Pennsylvania area. The club is seeking fellow N-Scale modelers who are interested in joining a club and are willing to meet within the county.

Here are some of the criteria the club would like to concentrate on (in no particular order):

    1. The club envisions eventually having a permanent clubhouse in a retail space, garage type building, etc. This would be after making the club a non-profit entity.
    2. The layout style would be sectional/modular so it is capable of being set up at train shows. (N-Trak or Free-moN are possibilities if the originating core members decide to follow that route)
    3. The track plan would be operations oriented point-to-point. It would have single and/or double track with passing sidings where required. The plan would include at least one classification yard and two staging yards.
    4. For train control DCC would be the best choice. The layout could be wired to run both DCC and DC but the need for DC would be dependant on how many members have Non-DCC compatible equipment.

The overall goal of the club is to have an operations based layout that can be operated on a regular basis by club members for their enjoyment and can also be shared with the public and other modelers by being displayed at train shows and public displays.

Any one who is interested in this great opportunity please contact Ron at the following email: rheiser@ptd.net
