"Hmmm... I may have to pick up a NS cab, and pretend that cabs are still in common use." Depending on what part of NS you are trying to model... they do... On the CSAA cabooses are in use, though they are the NYC-styled baywindow cabs... And as far as I know (I haven't heard any reports that this has changed) up in the coal fields of old N&W cabs are still used extensively, largely because of manual turnouts and some unusual moves that are required to service some mines...
Thanks once again for the heads-up, Don! I see that an undec is offered- there's a change for us freelancers to have this caboose on our rosters. Now, if I could raise the cupola up a wee bit to make it look like a UP crummy.......
