I have alot more slides, around 200 or more. Since I no longer have a slide projector, I can't tell you how many more are of engines. I remember having a few slides of cabooses, and the balance is of cars. Will post more when I can get them converted to a CD.

Thanks for the kind words on the photos.

BTW Gats, how do you know or find out that those numbers were of several different roads, before BN combined everything?

Thanks Stourbridge Lion, saved those links in my favorites.

Just looked through about 200 slides of engines, using my primitive means to look at them. Head a lamp without shade under a piece of glass, and pull each slide out one by one an looked at them. For that I have found what I think are twelve good pictures. Didn't realize that I had taken so many pictures of SP, UP and several other shortline roads.

Anyway found several pictures of a BN engine in Pasco WA that was nose first in the pit, again these pictures were taken around the mid to late 70's or early 80's. What I mean is Pasco had a engine house that could if memory serves me right would house about eight engines, then not sure what you call it, but a set of tracks that could swing a engine around, an put it into one of those of eight slots in the engine house.

Also found that I have two photos of engine numbers that don't seem to have pictures attach to them, on the BN loco roster pages.

So will try to tomorrow to get them converted to a CD.

    More later,

    Steve

Have uploaded 11 new photos to my railimages folder. All of the engines are not GP9's but I thought they were interesting enough to upload for you folks to look at.

    BNSF Railway - Forum

Here is a link to the BNSF Railway forum here at TrainBoard that would be a great place to show off your BNSF photogrpahs, stories, and questions. Another forums you might wish to visit often is the Fallen Flags (which includes Burlington Northern) and Railfan Photos as many of our Railfan members hang out and post allot of information and photos in these forums.
