Hello, my name is Daniel. I have been thinking about model trains for some time now, but time and space restraints... well, you know how that goes maybe? The last of our five children is moving out into the big outside world end of this month. A case of happy and sad. The happy is I have officially been given a basement bedroom to set up a train layout. She had that look on her face and said "trains hmmm". What does that mean? anyway, I have decided to go with n scale to maximize space but I have what my wife calls shrek hands. We'll see how that works out. before I put everyone to sleep i better say hi. Hi
As long as you keep it simple at first, I'm sure you can train those hands... Welcome to our little group!
Hi Daniel, Welcome to the TrainBoard, glad to have you on board. I've found that a magnifying workbench lamp helps with "shrek", or Ham-Hands.
Welcome Daniel, glad your enjoying it here. I have learned a lot since first joining Trainboard over 10 years ago.
I bet. I've learned a fair bit in a few weeks. Like my LHS is inordinately expensive where model trains are concerned ha ha
Welcome Daniel, Great place to live for one modeling the banana belt- praire area where half of Canada's crop export comes from , and not to mention the uramium mining and potash .. your railroad is gonna be busy hauling the " oats" . Don't forget the most important way to prove you did something is with lots of pictures and videos!!
Paperkite. The tower to pilot bit in your sig has been amusing me for days. Ill definitely be posting pictures. The way I like to change things it may serve to stop me from making the same mistakes more than oh 3 or 4 times.
Welcome aboard Daniel. We're glad you are with us and look forward to hearing about (and seeing) your progress. Charlie
