The new industrial area in Greenville has today been opened by inauguration of the M.A.T. Locomotive Works (MATLW).
Building material was supplied by Evergreen :D

The volume of investments in the Sandy River district by companies in Michigan, and in Canada as well, has increased a lot last year thereby contributing to the interstate bussines exchange, a growing factor these days.

It will also give the Canadian owned M.A.T. Truck Factory in Grand Rapids a great advantage to deliver powered trucks to MATLW, thanks to reduced VAT by an agreement with the Department of Trade.

The Sandy´s Newsweek published this picture of the building just behind the freight depot in the middle of the unhabited surroundings.

Good modelling and story telling Helge. Thank you very much for the honour. It's fun to create a real world need for the industries served by our railroads.
I am currently building the Anderson Coke plant which will change coal to coke to serve the Curtis ISCOR blast furnaces. Steel can then be shipped to the M.A.T. Locomotive works.
The coke plant is named after my friend Dick Anderson who is also a NARA member. The steel plant is named after my wifes maiden name as well as Alan Curtis who is well known here and is also a NARA member. The ISCOR stands for Iron and steel corporation.
