Hi, This is my first time here, so be kind, lol.
I found a layout in the Dec 2001 MR, Named The Bald Eagel Branch. I would like to use this layout but would like some in put on how to expland it. I was thinking of making the narrow side wider and puting some indutries there for switching, also making it longer.
I am new to modeling and would like your input. Thanks [IMG]

As far as the "narrow side" I assume you mean from the wye at Mill Hall and below that? Sounds good to me.

Expanding it would be easy. You could simply stretch any side, or add an extra leg from the bottom left corner around and up the left side.

By the way, welcome to TrainBoard. [IMG]

    Bob,

I don't recall that layout but will look at it when I get home.

How much space do you have available?

OK - found the plan. Looks pretty good - has a Lynn Westcott feel to it.

Anyway - keep in mind the 'visable staging' is really two yards (one for each 'end' of the line) with a connection via the turnback curve in the tunnel. This is a great idea and a nice way to provide staging and a display area for your trains.

Let us know how much space you have.

I have an area that is 8x8, so i can extend the narrow side two more feet and can go wider on the other two sides, tks for the help, Bob ;)
