You've been out and about. At least there are a few surviving depots to photograph. That old steamer with "DME" has me puzzled. It can't have any connection with today's DM&E. So I wonder if there was once a DME RR in olden days? Perhaps absorbed into the C&NW? Does the mail box make a statement to USPS? Boxcab E50
Yes. I know. Knew a fellow who was an engineer for them at startup. Was wondering what the "DME" on that old steamer indicated. Had there once been a predecessor to C&NW of that name? Or did someone just slap that on the tender? Boxcab E50
