Hi all, you might have seen my N Scale layout on here. In a fit of enthusiasm a month ago I sold that and all of my N scale gear and switched to HO. I've already started a new layout. It's a double round affair with two slightly separated levels. I wanted something portable that I could watch the trains go around, so it's sort of my take on the traditional (and unrealistic) 8 by 4 (though its a bit bigger). I quite like working to constraints and I wanted to keep this manageable. I'll let the pictures do most of the talking.

    Benchwork:

The castors worked well on the last layout so I used them again. it makes the whole thing really manageable for one person.

    Current progress:

Here you can see the slightly split levels. I'll have a yard on the bottom and some industry up top. The circuit will traverse both levels. It's a branch line and I intend to run short trains.

The big reason I ditched N scale was because availability of the stuff isn't the best where I live. I picked this Atlas sound loco up for a very reasonable price.

    More to come! Grant

Hi, the track plan is in my head only at the moment. I'll make sure to post a good photo when it materialises on the layout.

I'm in the process of trying to do the same thing. I've got a ton of n scale stuff for sale for reasonable prices. If you know anyone who's interested, email me at krikorahajian@gmail.com

In the end I sold everything on eBay and was happy with the prices I sold them for

Track plan in my head. Boy, doesn't that sound familiar. Thankfully I have turnouts on hand and have a full size trackplan laid out with just a little bit of tweaking to do and then down goes the track.
