I just ran across this board a few days ago thought it was time to join in, I'm modeling the Southern as though there was never a merger, I guess you could say its freelanced? Any one here from the South or interested in the Southern? Robert
I'm not Robert although I am sure that you will hear from others that are. I will welcome you in to TrainBoard.com though. Charlie ------------------ Ship It On The FRISCO! | IAMOKA.com
Robert, Although not from the South or a Southern modeler, I am a fan. I echo E-8's big welcome aboard and I look forward to hearing more about your layout ! Good luck and Happy Modeling!! John ------------------ The Colorado and Southwestern, Top of the Rockies!

Welcome aboard. I model the Southern with a strong secondary interest in the Seaboard Air Line. I really like pulpwood racks and SOU's bay window cabs! Most of my models are N; however, I'm increasing my HO collection because I want to do a bit more detail work on my locomotives and rolling stock. Here's hoping that Atlas releases some high hooded GP38s! I could use some Southern and modern NS units Look Ahead, Look South

Well thanks everone, Stickymonk [what does the name mean?] I use the same engines as NS does, just with Southern paint. Robert
Hi Robert! I model the N&W in the late 40s early 50s, But I also like the Southern in the same era. The Southern had some really neet steamers. ..........Mike ------------------ Its only Money !!
Robert, Welcome, I've traveled the Southern for 40 yrs and it's great line, notwithstanding mergers etc. Their steam engines were some of the most powerful, except for the Ma&Pa on the east coast. Any help I can offer, just call. Find me on the DCC forum ------------------ When in doubt, empty your magazine.

Or the syrup... Georgiasysrr, just cause you model the Southern doesn't mean you can't just post in one forum though. Feel free to throw your 2 cents whenever and wherever. More people doing that will liven up the board. ________ Benjamin
