Aristocraft has just announced it's new products for 2001. This will be GREAT fun!!!!

GE DASH 9 (will be a real beast in G scale!)
    SD-9
2-8-8-2 Mallet (will be even a bigger monster in G [IMG])
    E8/ E9 diesel

    several new cars:

100T coal hoppers, 3 & 6 bay cylindrical covered hoppers, Kaolin Tank cars and roadrailers!

these are the most important announcements.

I'm away to ask my boss for a 25% increase on my salary. If this fails, maybe, a second mortgage on my home.

Yeah I see it already in my dreams, all that stuff painted in the Emerald Valley colors. Must be great [IMG] [IMG]

No sooner did I make that first payment on the SD40-2 than along comes this list.

Guess I'll have to pass on the CN -9 (although it's great to see Aristo has finally recognized a modern CN exists) but I'm trying to find out if the hoppers are true cylindricals or simply the older, shorter covered hoppers with the round sides.

I'd love to invest in a long grain train for my GP9s.

Dave, I believe the hoppers will be the "true" cylindricals.

I'm now dismantling a USA Trains GP9 to be painted in the Emerald Valley colors and a second is coming my way. I very much like those geeps.

I think a lash-up of 3 44-tonners must also be nice, it makes a not so long consist so it will be more realistic on the layout than say 3 GP-38's.

Of course it's hard to wait so long for those
SD-9's and Dash locomotives, but I think I will paint a couple of those in the Rappannahock Terminal paint scheme.

I also intend to visit the East Coast Large Scale show in April in York PA and hire one container to ship all those trains to Belgium.
