Ouch - what happened to the TB forum?! Only 10 new posts are displayed before others fall off? I must have missed an announcement - can someone refer me to a post or thread that explains what's happening, why we're doing this and how to use the new TrainBoard? And where's the "search" box? Scott, I don't get exactly all of what you mean on the 10 new posts thing. When I hit "New Posts" I get 25 per page as far back as necessary, and if something has truly fallen out of the "new posts" field it's because nobody has responded since the last check, so I go to the forum where I posted it and read it there. Some other things have moved around a little, but it's all still basically here. If you can give some more specifics we might be able to help you find what you need. Adam
Scott, there are many different options to select at the top of the page. I prefer "24 Hours of Trainboard," as it shows entries in every different forum for the last 24 hours. :tb-biggrin:
Thank you Mark, Adam and Fitz for the clarification. I probably should have poked around a little before asking questions (my "New Format?" post in early May). I signed onto TB one night, and the format was different - mine opened with "Latest Posts," and I couldn't find what I was used to seeing - "New Posts." Instead of a "Search" box, the only search function I could see (my oversight) was a link to ebay. I asked if there were any posts addressing TB format change. Mark's reply indicated that there was a website upgrade taking place, and some features would be in and out of service. That made sense, so it seemed reasonable to wait and see what would happen - and if there'd be instructions posted for dealing with any format changes. But in the meantime (and you'd be right - I should have experimented more), I couldn't get beyond the 10 latest posts. Thus, my PM to Mark last night. When I signed on this morning, the 'old' TB seemed to be back - mine opened with "New Posts," just like the old days. Wonderful - not being a forum genius, I'm glad to be able to use it as in the past. However this happened - whoever worked on this - thank you! Scott
Scott, Mark let us know (he's on a trip right now) that you were looking for some more response. Sometimes, when these support topics are answered by a staff person and then nothing else happens we consider the problem resolved. There is a software upgrade taking place but it should be mostly invisible to you at this point. Please let us know if you have any more problems. While I am not an expert on the upgrade or on the various features of this site, I will certainly do what I can to match up your questions with someone who can answer them. Good luck, Adam
