New ES44DC's

CSX has begun receiving some of the 2006 crop of new locomotives.

ES44DC's from General Electric numbered in the 5300 series....5300-5311 have been received to date.

 

Wow! I had better get trackside.

Any idea how many are on order? I wonder if they will be delivered painted or in primer?

UMLER has reserved through 5399 I don't know if all 100 will be delivered this year.

That's interesting Harold. When you looked that up, were you able to find out about the SD70M-2's?

 

No, I could not manuever around the site easily to find anything.

 

# 5311 was sighted on a train out of Richmond, Va. this week!
