Railfan Magazine at www.railfan.com/ is reporting that CSX is beginning the process to order 165 more C44ACs for delivery later this year. The roadnumbers will be 422-586. This order has not been confirmed by GE, but remember those UP C44ACCTEs recently running around on CSX? You don't suppose that CSX may want some CTEs too? Wait and see.
Just checked Extra 2200 South. The number series 422-496 is already filled as of this past Summer. Another 50 units 497-546 is on order for 2001 delivery.
Here we go, raising the roster again, when I already don't even have pictures of the 4xx units Oh well, that'll give me something to look out for if I ever get to Hamlet or Rocky Mount Harold
