That most likely would be welcomed warmly. The last time that the Bmann had one it was the old, I believe Wooten firebox version, that also doubled as their 2-8-0 with the trailing truck left off. The few I had also succumbed to the dreaded cracked gear disease.
Folk you can stop speculating. Just got my online MR for October 2015. Locomotive is 4-6-2 with dcc and sound in Pennsylvania K-4s; four separate paint schemes. Full page ad on page 27 of the next issue. Nice to see them do smaller steam. I could use one even though I will reletter it for Baltimore and Ohio.
Naw I will keep mine. I have them tweaked with improved pick-up and modified into GN and SP&S locos. Just a few more years and the Bmann ones will be out of stock everywhere. Then I can list my new improved Mintrix Pacifics that are new in the box and custom lettered, with new added factory air, for a ridiculously high price and outrageous shipping charges on the Bay to finance my custom built walker with AM and FM plus sippy cup holder that I will be using to chase nubile young nurses in the old geezer's home.
I assuming it was a K4 seemed too hopeful. I'm glad to be wrong in this case. And they have a USRA light mike coming in HO, so I though they might be announcing their N version coming too.
Where's the N&W one??? http://www.nwhs.org/archivesdb/detail.php?ID=91279 http://www.nwhs.org/archivesdb/detail.php?ID=11696 http://www.nwhs.org/archivesdb/detail.php?ID=11876 http://www.nwhs.org/archivesdb/detail.php?ID=69779
They were not copies, they were the real deal. They were purchased used from PRR about the time of WWII. They were retired in 1946.
Seriously folks by the end of 2007 Bachmann will put out a Heavy Mountain class in those road names!!! What???... we're in 2015 already??? Man... where did the time go? I'm going to have to speak to my doctors about the meds I'm taking... Should have checked the expiration date on that crystal ball... So... I am happy to see that a totally NEW model is being done by Bachmann (Spectrum??). D&RGW had five of them (P-44 class)... but... I think the style was not a USRA version. They were Baldwin and look to be a light Pacific style... nothing like the photo of the HO model posted earlier. Too much work to modify that into a Rio Grande P-44.
