New Athearn N scale 2-6-0 The passenger cars are pretty much correct for late 1800s time frame. Never have seen info to confirm that engine color though.
Does anyone know about this engine color? If it's not historically derived, it would be a tad disappointing.
Hmmm..... Looks kinda like the Moguls the Pere Marquette inherited from the Chicago & West Michigan- Pere Marquette class M3. Nice looking engine at any rate. You're right about the color scheme. Gotta wonder, for C&O, at least. Seems like even if those colors were used, the boiler jacket would have been left natural Russia iron.
I dont think the colors on the engine are anywhere correct although the coaches are close to correct.
